How might a criminal conviction affect me professionally?
I was arrested for criminal trespassing and harassment. These are both Class I misdemeanors. I hopped my ex-girlfriends fence into her backyard to look for belongings that I had left behind. She was not home. The neighbor called the police and spent the night in jail. The pretrial offer was to dismiss harassment but convict trespassers plus the fine, plus probation, plus the diversion classes. How might I plead this down further to avoid conviction?
