Question
Do most people get a lawyer for their first DUI?
I was just arrested for my first DUI in Alameda County. I have never been arrested or for any other criminal charge and I am scared about the consequences. They say that I blew a .09 on the breathalyzer test. I have heard that most people do not get a lawyer for their first DUI, is that true? Is it true that I am facing jailtime?LawQA.com Answer Library

It is very important to hire an attorney for any DUI, as jail-time is a possibility. An attorney can help you create the best defense or plea bargain possible. I do handle such matters, and you can contact me for a consult.
