Can you legally get written court transcripts of a criminal defense case?

I want to know where to turn when all roads have been admonished to getting court transcripts from my husband's hearing?

You can contact the court reporter who attended the hearing/trial and arrange to have that person prepare them but you would have to pay for it unless it has been ordered by someone else already.

Have your attorney contact the court reporter in the court department the hearings are at to request transcripts.

They are available to the public at the court reporter's cost. Check with your court clerk regarding how to get them.

You can contact the court recorder and request a copy of the transcript. There will be a charge for this. Your husbands attorney should supply your husband or you at the direction of your husband a copy of the transcript.

It the case was transcribed and you have the money to pay for the transcript. They are copyrighted.

Yes you can. It is a public record. You need to go to the clerk of the court where the case was heard and request it. A small fee will be involved.
