Can I get a felony expunged if I was under heavy medication?
I was under a psychiatrist's care for severe depression and anxiety. I was over medicated and soon became dependent on the medication. To make a long story short, I was under the influence of heavy narcotics at the time of the crime and have NO recollection of ever doing it. But, I called a pharmacy and tried to call in a prescription. I was arrested on a charge of prescription fraud. I never got to explain my circumstance. I was convicted of a felony (2006) and served three months in jail. I am not a criminal, just on paper. I am well educated, family man, and overall a good person. I have never broken the law except for this unfortunate action. I cannot find a job due to this and cannot support my family. I believe in second chances and believe I deserve one. I really need to get this felony expunged and start living again. Please give me any advice on how this can be done. Thank you!
